Simon has cruised and raced a variety of dinghies, sports boats and yachts including two transatlantic trips on the Percy Dalton designed gaff cutter “Chloe May” and with Tom Cunliffe on ‘Hirta.’ “FORTITUDE” (ex “Gwalarn V”) is his first Pogo Class 40, until recently owned by the French mini-transat sailor Michel Meribel. Simon is a Podiatric Consultant working for the ‘Gait and Posture Centre’ in central London.

Nick has sailed many thousands of miles, many on board a Joint Services British Steel challenge yacht around the world as first mate and Ship’s Doctor. Nick is an RAF Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Medicine Consultant currently based at Headley Court rehabilitation hospital. Simon and Nick hope to compete in the Fastnet race in Fortitude if we are back in time!
