The risk increases further north with the same amount of icebergs per square, because the squares become smaller.

If you cross the iceberg field at the right point you face a risk of 5%-10% of coming really close to an iceberg. But this means within one cable (185m), without radar, and without lookout. I don't plan to sleep all along, so I should be able to decrease that risk significantly. On the other hand frequent fog in that area might complicate this a little.
